ASYMMETRY POP-UP DINNER

Pop-Up Dinner

Location:

Nashville, TN

The beauty in the imperfection and impermanence in nature is what resonates with me the most and influences my designs. On my own journey, I’m learning that what appears to be out of balance or less than, is in perfect harmony. A friend affirmed my instincts when he said, “Celebrating beauty is a holy endeavor.”

We hosted a pop-up dinner at the new Fairlane Hotel with Juniper Green, using my inspiration to call the evening, “Asymmetry.” I asked my friend Sarah Scarborough of Tea Huntress to speak of the embodiment of these concepts in the ritual of tea. Everyone was treated to a tea presentation upon arriving and a tea pairing throughout dinner.

SALT Ceramics provided custom “imperfect” vessels for the floral (a mix of fresh and dried) designed in collaboration with Saint Maide, and I styled the tables. You can see the coverage of the event by Nashville Edit here and some of my favorite images captured by Abigail Lewis.
